Kaʻū Hike & Swim at Papakōlea
This experience takes place in the Kaʻū district of Hawai'i island! Nestled in the south of the island, this district is famous for some of the first landings of our Pacific ancestors thousands of years ago. Hiking along the coastline of Ka Lae we will be witness to the famous places of this district such as Palahemo spring and Pu'u Ali'i mausoleum on our journey to Papakōlea and its beautiful green crystal beach born from volcanic explosions! Crossing either on foot or via local truck transit Ill be curating the history and genealogies of this district both human and natural as we adventure together! :) For the adrenaline junkies, this place is famous for the Hawaiian art of Lele Kawa, or cliff jumping. ;)
